Uber rich Damien Medici is ruthless and cunning when it comes to reorganizing companies. But when he’s called in to restructure Megalos and De Luca he has more on his mind than saving and restructuring a company. He has an agenda. With meticulous planning he’ll achieve his lifelong goal; to ruin the family who ruined his.
Emma Weatherfield is loyal and trustworthy and responsible. She’s had to be. She’s had to save pennies and dimes and dollars in order to bail her mother out of one gambling debt after another. In short she’s had no life. It’s been work and nothing else to prepare for the next bail out.
Her loyalty to the Megalos and De Luca Company becomes an issue and is tested when she’s assigned to assist Damien Medici. She owes the company so much, so reporting his every move shouldn’t be a problem. No problem at all until she soon sees and learns more about Damien than he’s willing to show the world. Until her heart is put on the line.
Remaining focused on his goal until its culmination is number one priority. Seducing Emma will be an added pleasure. Damien, however, didn’t count on the allure and draw of Emma, nor did he think a quiet introvert would exude such fire. In some areas she wasn’t such a surprise, but in others...How will this affect his agenda? Will he have to lose Emma to gain his revenge? Or can he have it all?
Ms. Banks once again has allowed her characters the latitude to lay their emotions and emotional baggage bare. Emma and Damien are given the freedom to simmer and sizzle and squirm, argue and tease, and love and hate their way through their emotional turmoil to a HEA. She’s one author who knows that the reader wants to be a part of the characters (most especially the hero) emotional transformation from the inside out and delivers.
No matter where you read Billionaire Extraordinaire (the beach, curled up on a rainy day, lazing in a hammock, in front of a fire) you’ll enjoy Emma and Damien’s story.
