Tessa is madder than a bee in a bonnet after being dumped by another boyfriend. She’d be thrilled to bash Bill’s head with each of the pieces of dishware he gave her. Instead, she’s smashing them against a tree. When the stranger calls to her, then collapses in her yard, she knows he needs medical attention. But in the midst of a blinding snowstorm, she’s stuck at her house in the woods. With phone lines down and cell service out, she’s cut off from her family and any chance to help him.
She does what any member of the Jones family would do. She drags him in and does her best to save him. When he wakes up, he can’t remember his name or anything about himself and his past. His mind is a total blank. He thinks hi might be from Texas, but that’s not much to go on.
As they ride out the storm, attraction flares. Tessa wonders if he could be an axe-murderer trying to kill her—but could a killer kiss like him? As they fight their attraction, they learn that when you’re snowbound, nature tends to take its course.
This book was one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a while. Christine Rimmer has taken what may seem far-fetched and made it absolutely real. As the story unfolds, his amnesia and health problems come to make perfect sense. The story moves along and the romance and love scenes sizzle. While this book is related to both the Bravo Family Ties and The Jones Gang series of books, it stands completely on it’s own. For those readers who have followed either of these series, I imagine you will be thrilled to have one more installment to read. The story clicks and the characters are like old friends. Choosing Christine Rimmer to be the first to revisit favorite families is a great way for Silhouette to kick of their 60th Anniversary Celebration.
